Maybe you heard about us from a friend. Or you drove by. Or you saw us mentioned in the news, or follow us on Facebook or Twitter. There's more to FiddleCakes than you might think. Here's the quick skinny on us:
Tell me about FiddleCakes
FiddleCakes is a neighborhood bakery, café, and coffee house offering a variety of fresh baked goods and lunch options, coffee and espresso drinks, a full catering menu, and an unlimited number of custom order options. Vegan and gluten-free baked goods and café options are offered daily.
Custom orders… like birthday cakes?
You name it. Birthday cakes in the shape of coach purses, your favorite childhood dessert, your dream wedding cake! Basically, if you can dream it – we will make it. And then there are corporate luncheons, graduation parties, picnics…we even bake cakes and treats for your four-legged furry friends (woof!). Our bakers are always up for a challenge, so tell us your ideas and we'll do everything we can to make it a delicious reality.
What if I'm throwing a party?
Our main seating area is available at an affordable rate to host birthday parties, showers, or any excuse you can think of to celebrate something fun. We also showcase party supplies and gift options for your home or office party. If you are looking for something in particular, we can order anything! Just ask to see our book o' fun!
You mentioned vegan and gluten-free options earlier. What's that all about?
Good question. Some people can't have or try to avoid gluten, dairy, soy, eggs, sugar, peanuts, cinnamon, tree nuts, etc… We get this and will work with you! Each day we offer vegan and gluten-free, casein-free treats and lunch options. However, we can create a custom order that is specific to any allergy or request you may have – just ask.

Great idea, who thought of all this?
Tasha Ross and Lindsay Beckner founded FiddleCakes in July 2009. We met in May 2009 after each of us mentioned an interest in the food industry to a mutual contact, Owen Entrepreneurship Professor, Germain Boer. We partnered up soon after and by July 2009, a business plan was well under way. By October 2009, the original FiddleCakes was born at 2206 8th Avenue South. In January of 2011, we proudly opened our second location, FiddleCakes Cummins at 300A 10th Avenue South.

So what's next?
We're still figuring that one out. We've got food distribution on our radar, and are looking into shipping. Maybe Knoxville's in our future, maybe West Nashville. We've been on quite the journey since getting together in 2009, and invite you to follow us on Facebook and Twitter so you can see where this journey takes us.
